Why are we meeting via livestream?

There are several reasons why we have chosen to use a streaming option for our fellowships for at least the next two weeks.
We are doing this with trust toward God and with a view to continuing to fellowship together in the Word of God in light of our current constraining circumstances.
  1. We want to obey the laws of the land (1st Peter 2:13 – 14)
Both the President and the Governor of Pennsylvania have issued statements to limit our assembly sizes. Pennsylvania has in particular, imposed stricter guidelines for this time period. We are thankful for and want to show honor to the governmental authorities of our country. We fear God, not men, but there is no conflict here.

  2. We want to be responsible toward those who are most threatened (1 Thessalonians 5:14 – 15, Galatians 6:10)
The elderly and younger are at greater risk of this disease. We want to be wise to not spread this to those who are most affected both in the church and communities.

  3. We don’t want to put a stumbling block before anyone (1 Corinthians 8:9 - 13, Romans 14:13, 20 – 21)
There are those in our neighborhoods who might feel frightened or stumble at seeing all of our cars parked in front of our homes as we meet for our weekly fellowships. For conscience sake and as those who are representatives of the kingdom of God, we want to be mindful of this.

  4. We want to continue to make the Word of God available (Acts 5:24)
The greatest need in every time is to proclaim the gospel of God and the deliverance by the name of Jesus Christ. With this streaming service, we will continue to be able to do this uninhibited. We pray this is a blessing and encouragement to all during this season.
