As we pick up the narrative from Exodus and Numbers, Israel has gone from Mt. Sinai to the plains of Moab - with about 40 years of wilderness wanderings in between. What are some key themes we should keep in mind as we read these first three chapters of Deuteronomy?
In chapters 2 and 3, Moses recounts some of the recent victories of Sihon and Og immediately before they go into the Promised Land. In what ways is this important for Israel to recall before going into the land?
